Snapshots

Photos are windows into the good in our lives.

Think about it.

We don't record the moments where we lose our temper and yell at our kids or how messy our house gets between guests or how we don't go to family functions anymore because the obvious dislike of who we are makes it awkward for everyone.

And we certainly don't scrapbook them.

We take pictures to remember the good things.

In Scotland, we were taking a tour of the castle and I overheard a mom hollering at her little son for not staying close by and then in the next breath sharply telling him to smile for the camera.  It was funny!  I have done that a thousand times.

And lest you think this post is meant to be a downer, here is a cute picture of Eomer and Aragorn heading off to school the first day.

Followed by a picture of the stuff I had to clean out of their backpacks so they could go (last minute of course).

These boys had a busy summer!

That EXACT same pile of stuff is on Collins floor in his room right now. Amazing how similar boys are.
